Ingrid Hjerpseth er organist, dirigent og underviser med en allsidig musikalsk profil. Hun er utdannet fra Norges musikkhøgskole, hvor hun våren 2025 gjennomførte sin masterkonsert i solistisk orgelspill, etter studier hos blant andre Anders Eidsten Dahl og Inger-Lise Ulsrud.
Hun underviser og akkompagnerer ved Uranienborg kirkes korskole og dirigerer i dag Lillestrøm Damekor, i tillegg til å ha bred erfaring fra andre kor i Oslo og omegn. Som utøver holder hun jevnlig solokonserter og samarbeider med andre musikere. Blant prosjektene hennes er en innspilling med komponist Andrea Giordano, omtalt i Ballade som “ei av årets djupaste lyttereiser”.
Ingrid er medlem av Neon Vokal, hvor hun har medvirket både som sanger og produsent på konserter, turneer og innspillinger. Hun er også en del av Sulamitt Trio, sammen med Liv Øgreid og Sofie Grøv Hauland. Med særlig fokus på folkemusikk, bygger trioens prosjekter på at hver musiker bringer inn sitt spesialfelt – noe som gir konserter preget av samspill, kreativitet og kunstnerisk nærvær.
Improvisasjon er et kjernepunkt i Ingrids kunstneriske arbeid, både i solistiske sammenhenger og i samarbeid med andre. Hun søker alltid å være lyttende og åpen, og legger vekt på musikk som deles i øyeblikket.
Ingrid Hjerpseth works as an organist, choral conductor, and teacher, with a versatile musical profile. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music, where she studied organ performance with Anders Eidsten Dahl and Inger-Lise Ulsrud. In the spring of 2025, she completed her master’s concert in organ performance.
She teaches and accompanies at Uranienborg Church and conducts Lillestrøm Damekor, in addition to having worked with several choirs in Oslo and the surrounding area. As a performer, she regularly gives solo concerts and collaborates with other musicians. Among her projects is a recording with composer Andrea Giordano, described by Ballade, the online newspaper for Norwegian musical life, as “one of the deepest listening adventures of the year.”
Ingrid is a member of the a cappella group Neon Vokal, where she has worked as a singer and producer for concerts, tours, and recordings. In addition, she performs with Sulamitt Trio alongside Liv Øgreid and Sofie Grøv Hauland. The trio focuses on Norwegian folk music, building their projects on each member’s unique expertise—resulting in performances marked bycollaboration, creativity, and strong artistic presence.
Improvisation is a core element of Ingrid’s artistic work, both in solo performance and in collaboration with others. She strives to remain open and receptive, emphasizing music as a shared, in-the-moment experience.
